About machine silk carpet

Definition of machine silk carpet
As the name suggests, pure silk carpet is one of the most expensive and luxurious carpets in the market. This type of carpet dates back to the Safavid era. At that time, the silk trade was very prosperous through the communication routes that passed through Iran. For this reason, the production, buying and selling of hand-woven silk carpets was very popular and profitable during the Safavid period.

Even today, this valuable product is produced in two types, natural and synthetic, each of which has unique characteristics. But in general, compared to non-silk carpets, silk carpets have a finer texture, more luster and polished hairs, better used yarn and higher color quality. This issue greatly affects the beauty and luxury of the home.

Machine silk carpets are generally made of polyester, polyogen and synthetic silk or viscose yarns, and one of the reasons for the softness and thinness of these carpets is the use of these types of fibers.

Artificial silk or viscose prevents the development of sensitivity in sensitive people due to the regeneration of cellulose fiber in its composition, but it has a shorter lifespan than acrylic fibers. The price of artificial silk carpets is lower than carpets with 100% acrylic fibers (due to the use of viscose). Therefore, people who intend to use the carpet for a short period of time or for a show can get this type of carpet at a much lower price.
